All Praise is due to Allah and may Allah increase the honor and raise the rank of our Master Muhammad ﷺ the most humble, merciful, just, lenient, handsome, caring, and honourable creation of Allah; the one who was sent as a mercy to all of mankind and jinn; the one who has been given the honor of the Major Intercession (Ash-Shafa^atul-Kubra) on the Day of Judgment; the one from whose hands the righteous Muslims from this nation will drink before entering Paradise and thirst will never come to them ever again; and the one who will be the first to enter Paradise on the Day of Judgment. May Allah raise his rank, and his kind relatives and Companions and protect his nation from that which he feared for them. Aameen.
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, to Him belong the endowments and proper commendations. May Allah increase the honor of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, raise his rank, and protect his nation from what he fears for it. Thereafter, it was said:
The following is based on a section from At-Tabsirah fid-Deen by Abul-Mudhaffar Al-Isfarayiniyy, the famous summary of Al-Farqu Baynal-Firaq.
Among those who came before Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ Nation were people who worshiped idols with varying images. Among them were people who worshiped stones. And among them were those who worshiped people, human beings; like those who worshiped Nimrod, Pharaoh, and others. And among them were people who worshiped images. If something was beautiful, it had a nice image, they worshiped it. Among them were those who worshiped the sun, the moon, and the stars; like those at the time of Prophet Ibraaheem, ^alayhis salaam. And among them were people who use to worship Angels, and they use to say that the Angels are daughters of Allaah. And Allaah said about them in the Qur'aan:
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤمِنُونَ بِالأَخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّونَ المَلآئِكَةَ تَسمِيَةَ الأُنثَى
(which means) Those who do not believe in the Hereafter name the Angels with the names of females.
At the time when Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born, most of the people of Makkah were in a terrible state of worshiping idols. They believed that God was only one of many gods. The people of Makkah made many statues and worshipped them unrightfully. They believed that the Ka^bah was a special house, but they put their ugly idols around the Ka^bah. The people used fortune-telling arrows in order to make decisions and went to fortune-telling people for advice.
